A beautiful day in Omaha

I have been here for a month and am really getting my barrings about myself now. The first day I got here I settled into my place and have been working on finding my way around since then. The first 3 days of work I took different ways each day not on purpose, but because I did or didn't make the turn where I was supposed to. The first time I had to come home from the airport, I ended up in Iowa, no worries, I did of course find my way home, eventually.

Since then I have been more successful in finding my way around town. Somewhat because I am not afraid of getting lost, which is good because I do it often, but more because I enjoy finding new things. Today I left at 9AM to run an errand and didn't get home until 3:30 in the afternoon. I spent the day meandering around town.

I decided if we are going to live in Nebraska then the girls should have something with Nebraska on it. Of course the place to go is the Huskers store. Let me say I haven't seen that much red in one place EVER!!

I tried to find something for the girls that was red, but I couldn't bring myself to buy it, not yet at least.
So I found these cute shirts instead for them, I am sure they will love them, and I will work into red, maybe!!
I really like it how green it is here. Here is the view out the back of my apartment.

What a view, there are so many trees and again so much green...

Every day is a new adventure. Tomorrow I will see about getting to church. I am hoping for the best.

I am glad things are going well, and that you are seeing lots of red and green (but not necessarily together). I look forward to visiting you guys in your new surroundings on one of our trips through town!

I will miss you guys but am happy for the new life experience. Have I ever mentioned that YOU ROCK and were the best secretary anyone could have ever hoped for?! Thanks for all of your hard work and effort. I love you and good luck!

Nebraska or bust! It's fun to see you in your new digs. Hope you are surviving without your fam there.. that can be the hardest part of the "job."
